This program is intended for clinical laboratory personnel working in a transfusion service and has been especially designed for those personnel who have laboratory experience but do not have extensive experience in the blood bank. The level of instruction is basic and this PACE program has been approved for 1 contact hour.

Hannah Acevedo is currently a Manufacturing Processes Specialist for Blood Systems in Scottsdale, Arizona. She has more than 40 years of experience in blood banking, including acting as Executive Director and Technical Director at United Blood services in McAllen, TX. Prior to working for Blood Systems, she was the Education Coordinator and Reference Lab Supervisor at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX and taught a blood banking lab course at the University of Houston –Clear Lake City.
