This intermediate-level course begins with the history of transfusion and examines numerous studies that have driven change throughout the years. It then covers current-day practices, including transfusion guidelines, necessary component modifications and misconceptions, and finishes with how modern transfusion guidelines may be used to help drive change in transfusion care.
